What to expect
The Cliffs Notes version- You reach out and set up an appointment, I do a free assessment and estimate, you accept the estimate, I complete the job, and payment is not required until the job is complete. In-depth description below. Contact form, email, and phone number is at the bottom of the page.
Deadwooding, dangerous tree limb removal, or full tree removal… it all starts with setting up a free assessment and estimate. You can reach me thru the contact form, by phone, or by email (contact at bottom of page). I will set up a date and time that works with your schedule. You do not have to be home for the assessment and estimate, as long as the target trees are clearly marked (you can tie something around them or lean something against them). I will assess the structural integrity, the stage of life, amount of decay, as well as the possible dangers involved. Once back at the office, I will lay out a basic plan of completion for the job at hand and calculate a fair price. I will itemize the quote so that you can see exactly what you are paying for. This will also give you an opportunity to pick and choose what services you would like, allowing you to save some money. I understand that it would be easier if there was a general price for tree services, however there are too many changing factors from job to job. Size, species, level of decay, structures/utilities/other dangers nearby, access to the tree, equipment and manpower requirements, exc. One tree may cost a couple hundred dollars, while another may cost a few thousand.
Once you accept the price quote, I will reach out to schedule the job. I can work around most schedules.
On the day, I will arrive on time as scheduled.
If equipment is required, I will lay down ground protection to drive on. There will always be some form of grass damage when equipment is involved, but I do my absolute best to keep it to a minimum. Usually it is nothing more than laying over the grass under the ground protection mats, which will spring back over the next couple of days.
I generally prefer to climb the trees and cut them in to more safely manageable sized sections. The risk factors are usually lower than felling a tree whole. This is also dependent on the structural soundness of the tree.
Any larger sections will be rigged and safely lowered, minimizing risk to employees and property. I use only professional rigging components and replace them whenever necessary.
If wood and brush removal is part of the job, I will remove everything (short of a little sawdust here and there) and leave the property as if I was never there (again, short of what the pressure under the protection mats may cause).
If stump grinding is part of the job, I will order a utilities locate beforehand to make sure there are no hidden dangers.
Tree work is inherently dangerous. Every once in a great while, things go wrong. I do my absolute best to minimize the possibility of any issues arising by concentrating on being slower and more meticulous, rather than pushing for large production numbers. If anything ever does happen, I will always take full responsibility for anything that I have caused. I will fix and repair anything that may arise, and payment is not required until then. I.E., if I cause a divot in your yard, I will fill it with dirt then seed and straw. If a rogue limb breaks a piece of a fence, I will replace that piece. These scenarios are unlikely, but possible. I believe in openness and honesty, that’s why this section is included.
Once the job is completed, you can pay by cash and I will send you a paid invoice or I can email you an invoice that will have a payment link where you can use a credit or debit card.
If you ever have issues or even questions, please reach out. I strive to have only happy customers, and will do what I can to achieve that goal.
